The sounds included with Minecraft Classic are modified versions of several sounds uploaded to FreeSound

Listed below are changes to attempt (but unsuccessfully) to reproduce the modified sounds

dig_grass1 / step_grass1

  • Sample rate doubled to 44,100 hz (Audacity)
  • Amplitude increased by 6db (Audacity)

dig_grass2 / step_grass2

  • Sample rate doubled to 44,100 hz (Audacity)
  • Amplitude increased by 11db (Audacity)

dig_grass3 / step_grass3

  • Sample rate doubled to 44,100 hz (Audacity)
  • Amplitude increased by 6db (Audacity)
